We are over the rain now mate...

West sussex woodland wild garlic… Quite the mouthful !

We like to think we are those foraging type that can walk into the wood one end empty handed and out the other end with a basket of goodies… We aren't. A dog walk that quickly turns into a smelly few hours harvesting wild garlic in the pissing rain is a bit more honest !

Although ours is a bit small at the moment, over the next week the wild garlic will be thickening out into a nice carpet in the woods, We are waiting for it to grow slightly more so we can get some out to our customers who don’t have it growing on their doorsteps.

Every year we see some new dishes and recipes from our imaginative chefs, but sometime the super simple uses are the best, and we love this as its so good to have in the fridge / freezer.

Wild garlic butter

Warm a block of butter, mash this up with a hand full of freshly picked wild garlic aadd a pinch of flakey sea salt. Once this is done Simply roll into a baking sheet andreturn the butter sausage to the fridge. Cut delicious green garlicky butter disks asyou please. Delicious for making garlic bread, YUM!
